How BlackVault Mail collects, uses and protects information, in plain language.
Who we are
BlackVault Mail (“BlackVault Mail”, “we”, “us”) provides secure, branded email on domains you own. The service is operated by [Operating company name — to be confirmed].
You can reach us about privacy at privacy@blackvaultmail.com.
Scope and roles
This policy covers this website and the BlackVault Mail service. When an organization uses BlackVault Mail for its email, that organization decides what mail is stored and how it is used. We process that content on the organization’s behalf as its service provider. Questions about a particular mailbox are best directed to the organization that administers it.
Information we collect
- Website visits. This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and request time, for security and operations.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include.
- Account information. Your name, email address, organization and sign-in credentials. Passwords are stored only as hashes.
- Mail content and metadata. The messages, attachments, addresses, folders and settings that you or your organization store, send or receive through the service.
- Service and security data. Technical and security logs, such as sign-in events and device or browser information, and an audit log of security-relevant actions.
How we use information
We use information to provide, secure and operate the service; to support you; to comply with the law; and to keep the service reliable.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use the content of your mail for advertising, profiling or data mining.
Legal requests
We respond to valid legal process. We review each request, limit what we disclose to exactly what the request specifically requires, and notify affected users unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. We do not provide broader access than a request calls for.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, described on our security page, including encryption of message content at rest and in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deletion
[Placeholder: retention periods to be confirmed.] We keep information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. When an account is closed, we delete or de-identify its data within a reasonable period, subject to backup rotation.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information. To make a request, email privacy@blackvaultmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. If your mailbox is administered by an organization, we may direct your request to that organization.

BlackVault Mail is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
